The Russian side agreed to the deployment of armed police mission in Donbass. It was stated by Deputy Head of Presidential Administration Konstantin Yeliseyev in his interview with Interfax.

"As a result of negotiations in the "Norman format" we have achieved unity in the positions and arrangements that we are starting to work in Vienna at the level of permanent representatives of the States Parties of the "Norman format" in the OSCE and in the future - with the involvement of all OSCE countries. We’ll needs consensus of all participating States of the Organization for the deployment of the mission in Donbass. The Russian side agreed," – said deputy Konstantin Yeliseyev.

As previously reported, on April 3 President Petro Poroshenko said that be full implementation of the ceasefire and the presence of OSCE police mission were needed for the elections to be held in the occupied regions of Donetsk and Luhansk. At the same time, militants were strongly against the police mission on the territory.
