In the Tver oblast of russia, a business jet belonging to the owner of the Wagner Private Military Company, Yevgeny Prigozhin, has crashed. He was reportedly on board of the aircraft. This information was reported by official russian media and russian Telegram channels on August 23rd.

"Yevgeny Prigozhin was among the passengers on the plane that crashed in the Tver oblast", - cited TASS the statement from Rosaviation.

Additionally, the Telegram channel Grey Zone, which is considered close to Prigozhin, reported that the plane was shot down by an anti-aircraft system.

"The business jet Embraer Legacy 600 with registration number RA-02795, owned by Yevgeny Prigozhin, was shot down by anti-aircraft fire by the russian Ministry of Defense's air defense unit in the Bologovsky district of the Tver oblast. Preliminarily, there were seven people on board. Local residents reported hearing two explosions before the plane crashed, which is confirmed by the contrail patterns in the sky in one of the videos and direct eyewitnesses", - the message stated.

It was previously reported that Prigozhin had revealed his location.
