Russian military shelled the Lyman community: three killed, and two others injured (PHOTO)

The russian military killed three and wounded two civilians in the villages of Torske and Zakytne within the Lyman community in the Donetsk oblast. This information was reported by the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.

"By the evening of August 22, 2023, the russian armed forces shelled populated areas of the Lyman territorial community. According to preliminary information, the occupiers attacked the villages with artillery fire. At 18:50, the aggressor state's aim was directed at the village of Torske, where two women and a man aged 63 to 88 were killed near a bench next to a private house. Another local resident sustained multiple injuries to the chest, shoulder, and thigh. He received medical assistance", - the statement said.

Half an hour later, the occupiers shelled the village of Zakytne, as a result of which a 26-year-old man suffered a skull fracture and a brain contusion. He was hospitalized in critical condition.

Under the procedural guidance of the Donetsk Oblast Prosecutor's Office, pre-trial investigations have been initiated into criminal cases related to violations of the laws and customs of war (part 1, 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
