Ministry of Defense confirms the success of Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Zaporizhzhia direction

Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Maliar has confirmed the success of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the southern region of the country, particularly in the direction southeast of Robotyne and south of Mala Tokmachka in the Zaporizhzhia oblast. This was stated in her Telegram message on August 21st.

"Our units achieved success in the direction southeast of Robotyne and south of Mala Tokmachka in the Zaporizhzhia oblast. The enemy attempted to regain lost positions east of Robotyne. However, they were unsuccessful. Planned combat operations are ongoing in Robotyne", - the deputy minister reported.

She also added that offensive actions are continuing in the Berdiansk and Melitopol directions.

"On the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the russian army is on the defensive. They continue to shell our positions and civilian objects in the Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Mykolaiv oblasts, actively using Lancet barraging projectiles", - Hanna Maliar noted.

As reported, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have reached the first defensive line of the occupiers, facing the most challenging phase ahead.
