Units of the National Guard, during their offensive actions on the Melitopol direction, have advanced 650 meters into the enemy's defensive positions and 1500 meters along the frontline, and have consolidated their positions on the occupied line. This was reported by Colonel Mykola Urshalovych during a briefing at the Military Media Center on August 3rd.

At the same time, local residents report that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have come close to Melitopol, and the road from the city is under shelling and may be blocked.

Earlier, it was reported that the occupiers in the south are starting to retreat under the pressure from the AFU.
