On August 1, the occupiers attacked Kharkiv using drones, with several explosions reported in the Shevchenkivskyi district. The Mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov, informed about the incident on Telegram.

"The russians are attacking Kharkiv with drones. Explosions are heard in the Shevchenkivskyi district. Already three of them", - Terekhov reported.

The head of the Kharkiv Oblast Military Administration, Oleh Synehubov, confirmed the information about the attack on Kharkiv.

"The occupiers are launching strikes. Attention to the residents of Kharkiv city and the oblast: seek shelter!", - Synehubov wrote on Telegram.

Later, he stated that the occupiers carried out kamikaze drone attacks on Kharkiv, resulting in a fire at the impact site.

"A fire broke out at the impact site, and all emergency services are working. According to the Regional Emergency Medical Center, there is no information about casualties", - the official reported.

Terekhov, also mentioned that one of the drones destroyed two floors of a dormitory.

"At least three attacks have occurred. All in the city center, in densely populated areas. One of the drones destroyed two floors of a dormitory. There is a fire there, and the State Emergency Service units are working. Information about casualties is being verified", - the city mayor wrote on Telegram.
