Ukrainian defenders have regained control of the village of Staromaiorske in the southern part of the Donetsk oblast. A video showing the fighters announcing the liberation of the settlement was released on Telegram by President Volodymyr Zelensky.
In the video, fighters from the 35th Brigade and the Arey Battalion announce the liberation of Staromaiorske.
According to the Ministry of Defense, our defenders are currently continuing to clear the settlement.
Staromaiorske is located on the left bank of the Mokri Yaly river within the Velyka Novosilka rural community in the Volnovakha district. The lands of the village border the territory of Pryiutne village in Polohy district of the Zaporizhzhia oblast.
