The Cabinet of Ministers "will not introduce any initiatives on raising the retirement age in Ukraine", It was stated by Vice Prime Minister for Social Affairs Pavel Rozenko on the air of 112 TV channel when answering the question whether Kiev took such a commitment to the IMF, - reports Zerkalo Nyedyeli.

According to him, the question of raising the retirement age "is removed from the agenda now".

Rozenko said that "although the issue is discussed at different levels" at the moment but his position (which coincides with the position of the government and the President) was that Ukraine had the opportunity to "take other measures to fill the Pension Fund of Ukraine than raising the retirement age".

"Therefore, the government will not introduce any initiatives on raising the retirement age in Ukraine now," - said Rozenko.
