"Soon the time will come when we will transition to active offensive actions" – Syrsky

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are preventing russian forces from advancing on the Lyman direction and inflicting significant losses on them. This was stated by the commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrsky in a Telegram post after visiting the front line in this direction.

"Our units and formations continue to steadfastly hold their positions, repel all enemy attempts to advance in the areas of Bilohorivka, Spirne, Novoselivka and Torsk, and inflict significant losses on the enemy in personnel and equipment", - the commander reported.

Syrsky added that he met with the commanders of units and formations carrying out missions in the most "hotspots" of the front line and discussed possible scenarios for developments in this direction with them.

"He noted that soon the time will come when we will transition to active offensive actions and set specific tasks for their preparation", - the commander emphasized.

Furthermore, the general presented awards to the fighters and thanked them for their heroism, particularly the servicemen of the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade, the 54th and 92nd Separate Mechanized Brigades, and the 81st and 95th Separate Airmobile Brigades.
