Zelensky visits front-line positions of the Defense Forces in Avdiivka (VIDEO)

President Volodymyr Zelensky has visited the front-line positions of Ukrainian defenders in Avdiivka, Donetsk oblast. The head of state announced it on Telegram on April 18.

"Avdiivka. The advanced positions of the Ukrainian defenders. It is my honor to be here today. Next to the servicemen of the Marine Corps, airborne assault, mechanized and artillery units. Next to our heroes", - Zelensky wrote.

It is reported that the head of state listened to a report by the commander of the Donetsk operational and tactical group regarding the situation in the area of his responsibility. He also talked with the servicemen and thanked them for their service.

The president presented the soldiers with state awards. The defenders received the Orders of Bohdan Khmelnytsky of the II and III degrees, as well as the Orders "For Courage" of the II and III degrees.

"Congratulations on the holidays, on Easter, I wish you only victory - this is what I wish for every Ukrainian, this is what is very important to all of us. I wish good health to all of you and your families, and I am sincerely grateful to every Ukrainian for the great path that you overcome every day", - Zalensky said.

The military presented the head of state with a military coin, a chevron and a plaque with the symbols of the 110th separate mechanized brigade.

It was previously reported that putin allegedly visited the occupied territories of the Kherson and Luhansk oblasts.
