Rashists have published another video of the execution of a Ukrainian soldier: this time, they beheaded the prisoner of war. The video was published online on the evening of April 11 and was spread by many Telegram channels and websites. It is unknown when the video was taken, but it appears to have been filmed in warm weather.

"There is something that nobody in the world can ignore: how easily these beasts kill", - President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reacted in his video address on April 12. "We are not going to forget or forgive the killers. There will be legal accountability for everything. Terrorism must lose".

Human rights commissioner Dmytro Lubinets appealed to the UN and the Red Cross over the video of the soldier's execution.

"From a standpoint of humanity and decency, can any army in the world kill prisoners of war and then publish the footage? Do such actions add honor to such an army? The question is rhetorical", - Lubinets wrote. "However, there are no human virtues on the part of the russian federation in general. Then what is it, if not another proof of the genocide of the Ukrainian people? They publish such videos, spread them and write horrible comments that reveal a deep hatred towards Ukraine and Ukrainians".

According to Lubinets, the russians are doing this for several reasons:

- such content is aimed at their domestic audience to reinforce anti-Ukrainian narratives in society;

- "baptism by blood" - most likely, russian commanders are giving orders to their subordinates to carry out such actions and film everything;

- a way of intimidating their soldiers, primarily so that they do not surrender to Ukrainian captivity while thinking that they will be treated the same way. It is also used as compromising material to show that there is no way back and that they will have to continue this aggressive war until the very end.

"Public execution of a prisoner of war is another proof of a violation of the Geneva Conventions, international humanitarian law, a violation of the fundamental right to life", - the statement said. "I, as the Ombudsman of Ukraine, addressed letters to the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, the UN Monitoring Mission in Ukraine, the UN Secretary General, and the International Committee of the Red Cross, to do everything possible so that the perpetrators are punished for every war crime! And also that this case should be recorded separately in all reports of international organizations".

Lubinets demands that the issue of misbehavior regarding a prisoner of war be considered separately at the site of the UN Human Rights Committee.

"Russia should not be in the UN Security Council", - said Andriy Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine. "A terrorist state should not preside over the Security Council, and it cannot have veto power. This is absurd".

Mykhailo Podoliak, Adviser to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine noted that after this incident, countries that suggested that Ukraine should make a deal with the russian federation for "peace in exchange for land" should finally feel the real smell of the so-called "russian world".

"The russian military is happily beheading the Ukrainian prisoner on camera", - Podoliak said, "to prove their animalistic nature and once again convince the world of russia's bloodthirstiness... Perhaps the "peacekeepers" who cynically offer us to "exchange land for peace" will finally feel the real smell of the "russian world"?"

Earlier it was reported that President Volodymyr Zelensky has posthumously awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine to serviceman Oleksandr Matsievsky, whose execution video was made public by the rashists.
