Zelensky visited positions of Ukrainian troops in the Bakhmut area (VIDEOFACT)

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky visited the positions of the Defense Forces in the Bakhmut direction, heard reports from the commanders and awarded the fighters. Zelensky announced this in Telegram on March 22.

"Donetsk oblast. The frontline positions of the Ukrainian military in the Bakhmut area. I am honored to be here today to award our heroes. To shake hands and thank them for protecting the sovereignty of our country. Glory to each and every one who is now fighting for Ukraine! May the memory of all those who sacrificed their lives for our independence be blessed!" , - he wrote.

As it was reported earlier, russian military continue their attempts to advance towards the center of Bakhmut, but they are met with resistance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
