"Continue by inertia". Russians cannot complete the operation to seize Bakhmut – Cherevaty

Russian forces tactically cannot complete the operation to capture Bakhmut, but continue to attack the city by inertia. This was reported by the spokesperson of the Eastern Group of the Defense Forces of Ukraine Serhiy Cherevaty during the Ukrainian news TV marathon.

"Currently, they tactically cannot complete the operation to seize the town of Bakhmut. Yes, there are very active battles, they continue to carry out dozens of attacks by inertia, but they suffer huge losses", - he said.

According to him, the Ukrainian command and staffs are planning the defense correctly.

"Thanks to the wisdom, resourcefulness and unconventional actions of our commanders and soldiers, they achieve the goal of debilitating the enemy and breaking his fighting spirit", - Cherevaty noted.

As previously reported, according to the head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak, the plans of the russians to occupy Bakhmut are failing.
