The Seimas of Lithuania unanimously approved a resolution recognizing the russian Wagner PMC as a terrorist organization. The document was supported by 117 deputies. This was reported by RBC-Ukraina with reference to the Seimas website.

"The private military company Wagner of the Russian Federation is a terrorist organization, and its mercenaries pose a threat to the security of the state and society", - the document says.

The Seimas strongly condemned the use of any mercenary groups, such as Wagner, created with the support of the russian authorities, to commit acts of aggression on the territory of Ukraine.

The resolution states that Wagner mercenaries "systematically commit serious crimes of aggression: killing and torturing civilians in Ukraine, bombing residential buildings and other civilian objects, which is tantamount to terrorism".

"PMC Wagner, founded by businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin, who is close to President Putin and is under EU and US sanctions for interfering in the democratic processes of foreign countries, promoting the implementation of Kremlin's imperial ambitions, is a shadow tool of the Russian authorities. It receives Grad MLRS and armored vehicles from the Russian government for free, uses Russian military infrastructure, and its fighters are trained by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Russian Federation", - the resolution notes.

It draws attention to the fact that the EU and the US have imposed sanctions on the Wagner PMC for participating in the russian war against Ukraine, as well as for committing serious crimes, including mass executions, rapes, child abductions, physical violence and other human rights violations in the Central African Republic, Sudan and Mali.

It was reported earlier that according to British intelligence, the Wagner PMC lost half of its recruited prisoners in the war against Ukraine and cannot recruit new ones. In January, British intelligence reported that the Wagner presence on the front had reached 50,000 mercenaries.
