The Commander of the Eastern Group of Forces, Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrsky, visited the military units in Bakhmut, where fierce battles are taking place. This was reported by the press service of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on March 3.

"The enemy does not give up hope of seizing Bakhmut and continues to accumulate forces in order to occupy the city. The russian invaders sent the most trained units of the Wagner PMC and other regular units of the russian army to seize the city. Intense battles are being fought in the city itself and around it", - the statement notes.
In Bakhmut, Syrsky listened to the commanders' reports on the state of affairs in subordinate units, got acquainted with the issues of increasing the defense capability of our units on the front line.
"The commander thanked all the defenders, noting their extraordinary resilience and heroism, and awarded the defenders with valuable gifts", - the message said.
