NATO sees a new offensive by russian troops in Ukraine, especially around Bakhmut. The invaders are throwing a lot of forces and means against the Ukrainian defense lines. This was reported by RBK-Ukraine with reference to a statement by Alliance Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in an interview with LRT.
"We are already seeing new offensive operations by Russia, especially around Bakhmut, with fierce fighting and heavy casualties", - he said in response to a question about the scale of the new russian offensive.
"And we also see that Russia is constantly planning for new offensives, mobilizing more troops, acquiring more weapons, ramping up production, sending in more ammunition, more weapons, and also reaching out to other authoritarian regimes, like Iran and North Korea. Our the goal is to provide Ukraine with the strength and power necessary to fight back and defeat the invaders", - Stoltenberg said.
Earlier the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov said that russia loses 500 soldiers every day in the Bakhmut area battles.
