Poland is now transferring 4 Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine, the rest will be delivered a little later. This was stated by Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv, - Ukrinform reports.

"Today, as the first European country, I symbolically want to hand over to you, Volodymyr, the first four Polish Leopard 2 A4 tanks. These are tanks that will undoubtedly perfectly complement the ranks on the battlefield and show themselves well", - Morawiecki stated.

He added that Poland would hand over the next tanks soon.

The head of the Polish government noted that Warsaw was persuading partners from the EU and NATO to also transfer Leopard 2 to Ukraine.

He handed Zelensky a symbolic confirmation of the transfer of tanks, having noted that Poland is successfully building a "coalition of several countries" that will transfer these vehicles to Ukraine.

As reported, Poland is transferring a company of Leopard 2 tanks (14 vehicles) to Ukraine. At the Świętoszów Polish training ground, 105 Ukrainian soldiers are training to work with Leopard 2 tanks.
