Respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries. China unveils its peace plan

China has made public its position on the political settlement of the Ukrainian crisis. This is reported by the MFA of China.

The plan consists of 12 points:

1) respect for the sovereignty of all countries,

2) abandoning the Cold War mentality,

3) cessation of hostilities,

4) resumption of peace negotiations,

5) resolution of the humanitarian crisis,

6) protection of the civilian population and prisoners of war,

7) ensuring the safety of nuclear power plants,

8) reduction of strategic risks,

9) promotion of grain export,

10) termination of unilateral sanctions,

11) maintaining the stability of industrial chains and supply chains,

12) assistance to post-war reconstruction.

The Chinese plan states that universally recognized international law, including the purposes and principles of the UN Charter, must be strictly observed.

"It is necessary to effectively maintain the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of all countries. All countries, large or small, strong or weak, rich or poor, are equal members of the international community. All parties must jointly uphold the basic norms governing international relations and protect international integrity and justice", - the text says.

At the same time, the plan proposed by the PRC says that all parties should support the russian federation and Ukraine in working in the same direction and restoring direct dialogue as soon as possible in order to gradually de-escalate the situation and achieve a comprehensive ceasefire.

In addition, China speaks of the inadmissibility of the use of nuclear weapons.

"Nuclear wars must not be waged. The threat or use of nuclear weapons must be resisted", - the plan says.

As previously reported, Ukraine has struggled to improve relations with China.
