The Netherlands has summoned the russian ambassador in connection with the investigation into the downing of MH17. This is reported by NOS.

The media outlet noted that the russian ambassador was summoned and demanded an explanation in connection with the investigation into the downing of flight MH17.

"Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte stated in the House of Representatives that the reason for this was the conclusions of the Joint Investigation Group on the role of Russian President Putin", - the journalists added.

At the same time, the D66 party has already proposed expelling the russian ambassador from the country. However, Rutte prefers to keep lines of communication with moscow open, since if the ambassador is expelled, the russian federation will make a similar gesture.

Let us recall that on the eve, it became known that the investigation into the downed MH17 case was suspended.
