The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine voted on the appointment of General Vasyl Malyuk as head of the Security Service of Ukraine.
The submission for this nomination was made by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
Vasyl Malyuk has been acting head of the SBU since July 18, 2022, when Ivan Bakanov was dismissed.
As previously reported, SBU found evidence of financing of the National Guard by the companies of the wife of Viktor Medvedchuk.
