Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated the country needs long-range missiles to counter attempts to shell peaceful cities. Zelensky said this in his video message on January 28.

"Today at 9.15, the russian army shelled our city of Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region. The enemy used S-300 missiles on the residential sector. As of now, there are 17 people on the list of victims, 14 were injured and 3 died", - he said.

According to him, russian missiles hit Kostiantynivka, in particular, 4 residential buildings.

"Such shelling, unfortunately, is the daily routine of our territories, which the russian army reaches with missiles", - the president noted.

"It would be possible to stop this russian terror, if we could provide the appropriate missile forces of our military. In order for the terrorists not to have a sense of impunity, Ukraine needs long-range missiles, in particular, to remove the occupier’s ability to deploy his rocket launchers somewhere far from the front line and destroy peaceful Ukrainian cities", - Zelensky said.

As reported, the russian invaders attacked Kostiantynivka on the morning of January 28.
