Civilians who, since the beginning of the full-scale offensive of the russian federation on February 24, 2002, have defended Ukraine, but have not joined official military formations or law enforcement agencies, will be able to receive the status of a participant in hostilities. This was reported by the AFU Operational Telegram channel.

"The relevant bill (reg. No. 7322), which was developed with the direct participation of experts from the Ministry of Veterans, was adopted on January 12 by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine by a constitutional majority of votes in the second reading and in general. 310 people's deputies of Ukraine supported it", - the message says.
