Russia plans prolonged attack with Shaheds - Zelensky

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reported that since the beginning of the year, more than 80 kamikaze drones have already been shot down, but in the near future, russia is planning a long-term attack on Ukraine with Iranian Shaheds. Zelensky stated this in an evening video message on January 2.

''It's only been two days since the beginning of the year, and the number of downed Iranian drones over Ukraine is over 80. And this number may increase in the near future. So during these weeks, the nights can be quite hectic. We have information that russia is planning a long-term Shahed attack. Its bet may be attrition. The exhaustion of our people, our air defense and our energy. But we must do and will do everything so that this goal of the terrorists fails, like all the others", - he noted.

As reported, on January 2, emergency shutdowns were applied in Kyiv after a night attack by drones.
