The Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate will be left without two churches on the territory of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. This was stated by Metropolitan Pavel in his video message to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

In particular, the vicar of the UOC-MP urged the president not to take away faith from people. But the lease term of the UOC-MP and the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra for these facilities expires on December 31.

"People are starving in the cold and without light. Do you still want to take away faith in people? Don't do it. We don't interfere in politics or economy. We just ask the Lord to keep our church within the state", - Pavel stated.

As previously reported, the SBU conducted searches in the UOC-MP in 9 oblasts of Ukraine.
