The USA has announced new restrictions on the export of technology for the russian PMC Wagner in order to further limit its capabilities through participation in the invasion of Ukraine. This is reported by Reuters, citing the U.S. Department of Commerce.

"The Wagner Group is one of the most notorious mercenary organizations in the world and is actively committing atrocities and human rights abuses across Ukraine", - U.S. Under Secretary of Commerce for Industry and Security Alan Estevez stated.

According to the restrictions, PMC Wagner will now be defined as "the end user of military equipment" and will experience significant restrictions, if it tries to acquire any technology created using American equipment.

"Today we are sending a clear message to non-state actors seeking to pick up the baton of brutality from Putin’s faltering military that the Department of Commerce will not hesitate to act against them", - Estevez stressed.

As previously reported, owner of PMC Wagner Yevgeny Prigozhin is ready to recruit women who are serving sentences for crimes committed for the war against Ukraine.
