As of 11:00 on December 19, a difficult situation has developed in the energy system of Ukraine. Ukrenergo reports this in Telegram.

"The enemy UAVs tried to break into power facilities throughout the country all night long. Thanks to the professional work of the Air Defense Forces, the enemy did not fully achieve its goal, but, unfortunately, there were several hits on infrastructure facilities. The State Emergency Service units are now working to eliminate the consequences of shelling", - the message says.

It is noted that where possible, repair teams are already assessing the amount of damage and starting repair and emergency work.

Also in the southern and eastern regions, the enemy shelled the deoccupied areas with artillery, there is damage.

It is specified that the most difficult situation has developed in the central, eastern and Dnipro regions. The emergency shutdown schedules have been introduced in the Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv, Cherkasy and Kyiv oblasts, as well as in Kyiv.

Critical infrastructure facilities are connected in priority, but it may take a long time to restore power to residential consumers.

With all the damage, the power engineers keep the situation under control. The energy system maintains a stable frequency of 50 Hz, we work synchronously with the European continental grid, - Ukrenergo emphasizes.

During the absence of electricity, we ask you to take care of yourself and your family, as well as to help those in need nearby, - Ukrenergo calls on.
