The UN General Assembly has supported a resolution that proposes a mechanism for compensation for damage to Ukraine as a result of russian aggression. This was reported by head of the Office of the President Andrii Yermak on Twitter on November 14.

"Russia will pay for all its crimes in every sense - including reparations. From now on, this is the will of the UN. Everything will be Ukraine", - Yermak wrote.

The draft resolution was prepared by Ukraine in co-authorship with almost 50 countries. This proposal was supported by 94 countries and opposed by 14 countries, another 73 states abstained.

The resolution recognizes the need to create an international mechanism for reparation for damages resulting from russia's illegal actions against Ukraine. It recommends that the members of the assembly, in cooperation with Ukraine, create an "international registry" to document claims and information about the damage done to Ukrainians by russia's actions.

Let us recall that earlier, the UN Secretary General stated that Ukraine must return all its territories in order to start negotiations.
