Budanov states onset of "decisive period" in war against russia

The decisive period of the war in Ukraine is coming. This was stated by head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov during a meeting with Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine Epiphanius, - UNIAN reports.

"The decisive period of the war is coming. We need the help of every Ukrainian and God's blessing. I am sure that Ukraine will win a complete victory over the enemy and liberate all the occupied lands", - Budanov said.

The message notes that Metropolitan Epiphanius noted the great importance of national unity and thanked the Ukrainian defenders who bring victory closer.

"The enemy is fierce and wily, so may the Lord protect you and strengthen your wisdom to destroy the insidious plans of the invaders", - Epiphanius said.

The Metropolitan awarded Budanov the Order of Saint George the Great Martyr; also, three officers of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence, who were at the meeting, received the Order of Saint Michael.

The report recalls that earlier, Budanov expressed the opinion that the war would subside in winter, and in the spring, Ukraine would liberate its territories. Later, he predicted that the operation to de-occupy Kherson would last until the end of November. In addition, he promised a significant advancement of the armed forces of Ukraine forward by the end of 2022.
