The "grain agreement" has not lost its force, despite the statements of russia. Under-Secretary-General of the UN for Humanitarian Affairs Martin Griffiths announced this on October 31.

"We firmly believe that the Black Sea Grain Initiative remains in place despite the suspension of russia's participation in it", - Griffiths stated.

He also stressed that russia did not withdraw from the agreement and did not terminate the agreement, but only "suspended" its participation for an indefinite period.

"As a result of this, we continue to send ships moving from Ukraine through this initiative. Together with Turkey, where it is possible, and with Ukraine, we will check these ships", - Griffiths added.

He also noted that the UN was communicating with russia to resolve the issues raised. He also admitted that the sooner the russian federation returns to the deal, the better.

Let us recall that earlier, Volodymyr Zelensky assured that Ukraine would continue to fulfill the "grain agreement".
