Leader of the "DPR" Alexander Zakharchenko said that he would hold a "straight line" on the Internet with the residents of Odessa and Bessarabia on May 4th. It is reported by the separatist media.

He doesn’t explain what exactly he means by Bessarabia. There is no such administrative unit in the political map of the world. Historic district Bessarabia (6 counties) is larger part of Moldova now. A part of Bessarabia - former Akkerman and Izmail districts - is in Odessa region and former Khotyn district is in Chernovtsy region. Traditionally, Bessarabia was inhabited by Moldovan and Ukrainian peoples, so one cannot talk about its belonging to the "Russian world".

However, ignoring it, the leader of the "DPR" declares "residents of Odessa and (non-existent now – OstroV) Bessarabia were and will remain our brothers.

Zakharchenko allegedly imitated carrying out a similar "straight line" with residents of Kharkov region. Communication boiled down to prepared or pre-selected questions which the leader of the "DPR" replied with propaganda cliches that he hd previously stated in his statements.
