Civilians at the militants’ checkpoint near Yelenovka, according to preliminary data, were killed not by shelling, but because their cars were undermined. Acting head of Kramatorsk border unit Colonel Anatoliy Kotsyurba stated that at the briefing in Kramatorsk, - reports the correspondent of OstroV.

"According to information that I have, it happened not due to fire but the cars were undermined. It is our preliminary information," - he said.

Anatolyi Kotsyurba said that the received that information from individuals who crossed the demarcation line.

"Cars were in the grey zone, we do not control it and don’t observe visually ... The explosion occurred on the uncontrolled territory. Two cars were affected, four people were killed," - he said.

As previously reported, the so-called "Ministry of Defense of the DPR" reports death of four people at the Yelenovka checkpoint last night. Militants accused the AFU of the tragedy. The ATO headquarters stated that they did not open fire in the area, even in response to the militants’ provocation.
