President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko instructed to bring in thousands of National Guard soldiers and police to Odessa. Head of the Odessa Regional State Administration Mikheil Saakashvili announced that on his Facebook page.

"The President instructed the head of the National Police and the Chief of the National Guard to bring in additional units up to 1000 people to Odessa for the protection of public order in the city," - said Saakashvili.

As reported, head of the Odessa Regional State Administration Mikheil Saakashvili called on President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko to bring in National Guard units to Odessain connection with the situation escalation in the city, in particular "titushky" attack on protesters near the city council.

Commenting on Saakashvili’ statement, Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ivan Varchenkosaid that the National Guard and National Police "are not eligible to participate in the political brawls."
