Former russian president Dmitry Medvedev threatens Ukraine with a nuclear strike and expresses confidence that NATO will not respond to this. He wrote this on his pages in the social network.

"Let's imagine that russia is forced to use the most formidable weapon against the Ukrainian regime, which has committed a large-scale act of aggression that is dangerous for the very existence of our state. I believe that NATO will not directly intervene in the conflict even in this situation. After all, the security of Washington, London and Brussels for the North Atlantic Alliance is much more important than the fate of the dying Ukraine, which no one needs", - the representative of the aggressor country is sure.

"Overseas and European demagogues are not going to die in a nuclear apocalypse. Therefore, they will swallow the use of any weapon in the current conflict", - he cynically declares.

Medvedev once again reminded that "Russia has the right to use nuclear weapons if… in case of aggression with the use of conventional weapons threatens the very existence of our state". Such a threat, in his opinion, may come from Ukraine. "If the threat to Russia exceeds the established limit of danger, we will have to respond. Without asking anyone for permission, without long consultations. And this is definitely not a bluff", - the russian politician states.
