USA warns russian federation about catastrophic consequences of nuclear strike and "decisive response"

The USA is warning russia of the catastrophic consequences of using nuclear weapons in Ukraine and will respond strongly, if the kremlin decides to take this step. This was announced on September 25 by the White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, - CNN reports.

"If russia crosses this border, the consequences for russia will be catastrophic. The United States will respond decisively. Now, in private channels, we have explained in more detail what exactly this will mean", - Sullivan said.

The White House advisor noted that the USA wants to establish the principle of responsibility for their actions, and not play the game "eye for an eye". According to him, Washington is developing a plan "for all occasions".

Sullivan confirmed that the USA is already working on new anti-russian sanctions that will be imposed against organizations, individuals and companies that support the russian war machine and "referenda" in the occupied territories of Ukraine.

At the same time, Sullivan did not want to comment on the protests against mobilization in the russian federation. He stated that the USA focused on supporting Ukraine, and "the future of russia should be decided by the russian people".

As previously reported, the USA transferred NASAMS air defense systems to Ukraine.
