Moscow does not think that someone can recommend militants not to carry out "military parade" in Donetsk on May 9th, even though it is contrary to the Minsk agreements. Press secretary of Russian President Dmitry Peskov told journalists about that in Moscow, - reports UNIAN.

Peskov said he was not "aware of the OSCE recommendations" not to hold a parade in Donetsk.

"You know, in general our attitude to the Victory Day is consistent and well-known. It regards a longstanding tradition, it refers to the historical memory," - Peskov said.

Responding to the clarifying question that the parade of heavy military equipment near the contact line is a violation of the Minsk agreements, Peskov said: "I can no longer specify nuances associated with the caliber of guns. I do not know all the details. Regarding the very fact of the victory parade - I do not think that someone can recommend not to do it."

As previously reported, leader of the militants of the "DPR" Alexander Zakharchenko said that the parade with the participation of military equipment would take place in the "DPR" on May 9th, despite claims by Kiev and the OSCE mission. He added that the parade would involve more equipment than last year.
