Poland has abolished the income tax that applied to Ukrainian refugees who worked remotely. This is reported by money.pl.

It is noted that citizens of Ukraine who entered the territory of Poland after February 24 and worked remotely should file a declaration and pay income tax - PIT (Personal Income Tax) by September 20. It is mandatory for everyone who has been in the country for a long time and has an income, regardless of citizenship.

Refugees who arrived in February are required by law to pay tax themselves in September, if they work remotely.

After 183 days in Poland, such refugees would become residents and pay taxes, but this norm was canceled for citizens of Ukraine. The innovation applies only to those Ukrainians who are covered by the special act, that is, they are "refugees from the war".

As previously reported, since the beginning of russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, since February 24, 6 million people have crossed the border in the direction of Poland.
