Ramzan Kadyrov and two of his closest henchmen receive suspicion - SBU

According to the materials of the Security Service of Ukraine, head of the Chechen Republic of the russian federation Ramzan Kadyrov and two of his closest henchmen received suspicion, - the press center of the SBU reports on August 26.

"The Security Service of Ukraine has collected unconditional evidence of war crimes from: head of the Chechen Republic of the russian federation Ramzan Kadyrov; deputy head of the Federal Service of the National Guard Troops of the russian federation for the Chechen Republic Daniil Martynov; commander of the tactical group of the 249th separate motorized brigade of the operational purpose of the north-Caucasian District of the National Guard Troops of the russian federation Hussein Mezhidov", - the statement says.

It is documented that in February-March 2022, Kadyrov personally supervised the development and planning of individual military operations of these units, gave orders and heard reports from their leaders.

Daniil Martynov was a former FSB special forces officer. Now he is responsible for the training of Kadyrov's personal bodyguard after he refused to be guarded by the FSB.

It was established that on March 5, Martynov personally led the seizure of the Borodianka psycho-neurological boarding school with a geriatric department.

Both "military officials" are accused of:

▪️ retention of civilians;

▪️ violation of the rules for the treatment of civilians;

▪️ using them as a "human shield".

Hussein Mezhidov is also accused in the robbery of civilians and objects.

The SBU investigators announced suspicion to Kadyrov under three articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:

▪️ Part 2 of Article 437 (planning, preparation, initiation and conduct of an aggressive war);

▪️ Part 3 of Article 110 (commission of intentional actions with the aim of changing the borders of the territory of Ukraine in violation of the procedure established by the Constitution of Ukraine, which led to the death of people and other grave consequences);

▪️ Part 3 of Article 436-2 (justification, recognition of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, launched in 2014, lawful, justification, recognition of the lawful temporary occupation of part of the territory of Ukraine, as well as the glorification of persons who carried out the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, has begun in 2014).

Daniil Martynov and Hussein Mezhidov are charged under Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the laws and customs of war, cruel treatment of prisoners of war or civilians).

The investigation to establish other crimes committed by the defendants during the conduct of hostilities against Ukraine continues.

It is noted that the pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings is carried out by the Chief Investigator of the SBU Department, operational support of the Main Directorate for Combating Systemic Threats to State Administration of the SBU and the National Police under the procedural leadership of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
