Ministry of Defense of russian federation "announces" terrorist attack at ZNPP during visit of UN Secretary General to Ukraine

The russian Ministry of Defense has announced a "high-profile provocation" that Ukraine is allegedly preparing at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant against the background of the visit of UN Secretary General António Guterres. This was stated by official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the aggressor Igor Konashenkov.

"The Kyiv regime is preparing a high-profile provocation at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant during a visit to Ukraine on August 19 by UN Secretary General António Guterres, as a result of which the russian federation will be accused of creating a man-made disaster at this power plant", - the representative of the russian military department stated.

He announced an artillery strike on the territory of the ZNPP from "firing positions of the AFU in Nikopol". Also, according to Konashenkov, the Ukrainian 704 regiment of the radiation, chemical and biological defense troops is already in the area, which will have to record the fact of the accident, as well as "carry out a set of measures to demonstrate the alleged elimination of its consequences".

At the same time, the russian troops allegedly do not have heavy weapons either on the territory of the ZNPP or in the areas adjacent to it.

Let us recall that at the UN Security Council, russia refused to withdraw troops from the ZNPP.
