Mandatory evacuation to be not only from Donbas - Vereshchuk

It is predicted in Ukraine that the requirement for mandatory evacuation from Donbas will spread to other regions of the country. This was stated by Minister for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories Iryna Vereshchuk at a briefing at the Ukraine-Ukrinform media center on August 11, - Ukrayinska Pravda writes.

"Mandatory evacuation from the Donetsk oblast is being carried out for the first time, and it is the only one so far, – Vereshchuk said. – However, our forecasts and analysis indicate that it will continue in other regions as well. We are now seeing deterioration in the situation. The situation will definitely worsen during the heating period, and the provision of heat through heating networks will be much more complicated".

Vereshchuk clarified that thermal power facilities could be targets of the enemy attacks. In particular, some cities and towns in the Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Kharkiv oblasts may be left without heating and electricity.

It was earlier reported that over 2 thousand people were evacuated from Donbas during the first week of mandatory evacuation.
