An investigation by the CNN American television company has refuted the kremlin's version of the reasons for the death of Ukrainian prisoners of war in Yelenovka. This is reported by Radio Liberty.

CNN correspondents analyzed videos and photos from the colony in Olenivka, studied satellite images and questioned the military and criminologists. They concluded that the nature of the damage to the building precluded the use of multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). The walls and most of the roof remained intact, which is impossible with the HIMARS systems supplied to Kyiv by the USA.

For comparison, CNN journalists provide photos of the destroyed weapons depots of the russian army in southern Ukraine, which were indeed fired upon by HIMARS. Not a single photo from Olenivka shows any craters, or traces of shrapnel damage, which is simply impossible when shelling from MLRS.

Experts interviewed by CNN came to the conclusion that the cause of death was a severe fire, and it spread so quickly that Ukrainian prisoners of war did not even have time to get out of bed, - the report says.

As reported, russia is trying to fabricate evidence of a terrorist attack in Olenivka.
