The Verkhovna Rada failed to include a draft law on the agenda on activities of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine and the State Bureau of Investigation. It is reported by ZN.UA.

Parliament speaker Andrey Parubiy’s proposal to consider the draft law №4469 as urgent on Thursday, April 22nd was supported by only 177 MPs. 107 MPs (out of 141) from Poroshenko Bloc and 57 (out of 81) from Narodnyi Front voted for him.

As previously reported, on April 19th the Verkhovna Rada registered a draft law which proposes to delete from the Law "On Prosecutor's Office" the regulation that the applicant for the post of Prosecutor General "has a university degree and work experience in the field at least 10 years", replacing it with the sstatement: "has a university degree and work experience in the field of law and experience in legislative and law enforcement agencies of at least five years."
