The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommended that citizens of Ukraine refrain from visiting the southern regions of Serbia and avoid crowded places. This was reported on the MFA website on July 31.

“We are monitoring the situation in southern Serbia. The parties must refrain from actions that could provoke violence. We strongly recommend that Ukrainian citizens refrain from visiting the southern regions of Serbia and avoid crowded places. On behalf of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba, an operational headquarters was created on the basis of the Ukrainian Embassy in Serbia and a round-the-clock hotline was opened to help Ukrainians: +381631113185“, - the message says.

The ministry notes that in case of an emergency, you can also contact the hot line of the MFA of Ukraine: +380442381588.

"In the event of a further aggravation of the security situation and blocking roads in southern Serbia, we recommend that Ukrainians use checkpoints on the border with the Republic of North Macedonia", - the MFA stressed.

As previously reported, in the north of partially recognized Kosovo, local Serbs are building barricades to protest Pristina's decision to re-register vehicles and ID cards.
