German Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht stated on Tuesday that Berlin had handed over three promised MARS-II multiple launch rocket systems to Ukraine. This is reported by European Pravda with reference to the DPA.

Also, according to Lambrecht, Germany transferred to Ukraine three self-propelled artillery installations, IRIS-T air defense systems (according to the media, Ukraine acquired 11 such systems) and three armored maintenance and recovery vehicles.

The minister did not specify what kind of howitzers they are talking about, as well as when exactly Ukraine received weapons.

It became known two days ago that Germany began supplying Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft artillery mounts to Ukraine.

The fact that Ukraine will receive three multiple launch rocket systems from Germany became known in June after the third meeting of the Contact Group for the Defense of Ukraine (Ramstein format).

In recent weeks, Berlin has been criticized for its slow delivery of weapons to Ukraine, in particular, the so-called circular exchange scheme. German officials themselves acknowledged supply problems.

The German government previously published a list of weapons that are being prepared for transfer to Ukraine - in particular, it includes 30 Gepard self-propelled artillery mounts, IRIS-T SLM air defense systems and M113 armored personnel carriers.
