Zelensky instructs General Staff to cancel norm regulating departure of conscripts outside oblasts

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has instructed the General Staff to cancel the procedure for issuing exit permits for those liable for military service. This is reported on July 6 by #Ukraine24.

As reported, at a joint meeting with the military, the president heard a report by Valerii Zaluzhnyi on permits for those liable for military service to leave their places of residence.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy drew attention to the fact that the Ministry of Defense is subject of the formation of state policy in this matter, and the government can restrict the constitutional rights of citizens during martial law by its acts.

Zelensky instructed to abolish the procedure adopted by the General Staff in order to refine it while maintaining the country's defense capability.

As previously reported, Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets criticized the rule prohibiting the departure of persons liable for military service outside the oblasts without the permission of the territorial recruitment center.
