Ukraine submits $750 billion post-war recovery plan

In Lugano, Switzerland, on July 4, Ukraine submitted a post-war reconstruction plan worth more than $750 billion, which will include 850 projects to rebuild the country. This is stated on the website of the Ukraine Recovery Plan.

Ukraine Recovery Vision: "Strong European Ukraine is a magnet for international investments". – This is how the presentation of the plan begins – Ukraine's Recovery is aimed to accelerate sustainable economic growth".

It is clarified that the plan identifies a list of National programs to achieve key results.

It is emphasized that the plan is designed for 10 years – from 2023 to 2032, and its implementation will take place in two waves. The first will last in 2023-2025, in which it is planned to implement most of these projects – 580. It is planned to use more than 350 billion dollars over these three years.

The second wave will contain fewer projects, but will require more funding – more than $400 billion. At the same time, the plan stipulates that the Ukrainian economy will grow by 7% annually within 10 years.

The most expensive projects are the restoration and modernization of housing and infrastructure in the regions, which will require $150-250 billion, as well as the expansion and integration of logistics with the EU, which will cost $120-150 billion. The need for energy independence and green course reaches $150 billion.

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that the plan presented in Lugano is "the largest economic project in Europe of our time and extraordinary opportunities for every state and every company that we will invite to work in Ukraine".
