The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has supported the launch of a pilot project for issuing passports abroad. This was reported on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers on June 13 with reference to the government decree No.678.

As reported, the decision will come into force on June 25.

Citizens of Ukraine will now be able to issue new and exchange old passports through departments of the State Migration Service abroad.

The Cabinet of Ministers instructed the Ministry of Internal Affairs to prepare a report by the end of 2022 on the results of the implementation of the project over a period of 6 months and present it at the government meeting.

Let us recall that after the start of a full-scale war, the Ukrainian passport has risen in the rating of passports of the countries of the world.

As previously reported, russia was going to issue the "USSR passports" to residents of the Kyiv oblast.
