Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak has called on the ambassadors of the G7 countries to assist in accelerating the supply of weapons necessary for the AFU by the governments of their countries. This was discussed during a meeting with the ambassadors of the G7 countries, - the press service of the OPU reports on June 7.

Yermak informed the heads of diplomatic missions about the results of President Volodymyr Zelensky's visit to the front lines held by Ukrainian troops.

The head of the OPU drew attention to the quantitative advantage of the russian aggressor in weapons and military equipment.

"He called on the ambassadors of the G7 countries to assist in accelerating the supply of the necessary weapons by the governments of their countries for the AFU needs. This should accelerate the victory of Ukraine in this brutal unprovoked war that russia unleashed", - the message says.

Andriy Yermak also informed the ambassadors about the results of activities of the expert group to develop recommendations for the imposition of sanctions against the aggressor, as well as the status of the formation of two more advisory groups - on post-war security guarantees for Ukraine and on repatriations.

The importance of ensuring progress on the path to Ukraine's membership in the European Union was noted separately. The decision of leaders of the EU countries at the meeting of the European Council on June 24 to grant Ukraine the status of a candidate country should be the most important at this stage.

In addition, the meeting participants exchanged views on ways to restore the full-fledged export of Ukrainian grain, in particular, through the Black Sea ports of our state.

"The parties agreed on the importance of holding regular briefings for the G7 ambassadors, in particular, with the participation of the state's top leadership, in order to exchange views on topical issues on the domestic and foreign policy agenda", - the OPU reported.
