Putin allowed granting orphans illegally taken to the russian federation from Ukraine russian citizenship under simplified procedure. This is said in the decree of the President of the aggressor country.

The simplified procedure for the granting of Ukrainian citizens russian citizenship applies to orphans illegally taken out of the occupied Donbas, uncontrolled Kherson and Zaporizhzhia oblasts.

According to the Office of the Ombudsman, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of russian troops into Ukraine and as of May 26, russia has illegally brought more than 238 thousand children out from Ukraine.
