At least 22 thousand local residents were killed as a result of Russian aggression in Mariupol. This was stated in an interview with CNN by adviser to the mayor of Mariupol Petro Andriushchenko.

"Mariupol is now a ghost town", - Andriushchenko said.

He noted that this figure of 22 thousand is based on the numerous contacts that he and other city council officials continue to maintain with officials remaining in Mariupol.

At the same time, Andriushchenko believes that the actual figure could be much higher.

The adviser to the mayor of Mariupol also reported that the process of reburial of the dead has become more complicated, as the russians insist that the exhumed bodies be taken to the morgue, and that the person wishing to remove the body must agree to record a video, saying that the deceased was killed by the Ukrainian military.

Petro Andriushchenko added that based on information gathered from a network of sources, Mariupol has now returned to the Middle Ages.

As previously reported, rainwater and sewerage spread post-mortem poison and garbage in occupied Mariupol.
