232 children have died in Ukraine since beginning of war, more than 662 have suffered – Office of Prosecutor General

According to official figures, as of the morning of May 21, 232 children have died in Ukraine since February 24 as a result of russian military aggression. This is reported on the website of the Office of the Prosecutor General.

More than 430 children were injured.

Thus, in total, more than 662 children suffered as a result of russian aggression in Ukraine. This data is not final, as work to establish the number of victims continues in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories, as well as in the areas of active hostilities.

Most of the children suffered in the Donetsk oblast – 145. 116 children suffered in the Kyiv region, 102 – in the Kharkiv oblast, 68 – in the Chernihiv, 48 – in the Kherson, 48 – in the Luhansk, 45 – in the Mykolaiv, 28 – in the Zaporizhzhia, 17 – in the Sumy, 16 – in the city of Kyiv and 15 – in the Zhytomyr oblast.

The report states that several children have been injured in recent days as a result of russian shelling. So, the occupiers launched a missile attack on the city of Lozova in the Kharkiv oblast on May 20, seven people were injured, including an 11-year-old girl. On May 19, a 13-year-old girl was wounded as a result of the shelling of the village of Velyki Khutory of the Kupiansky district of the Kharkiv oblast. On May 18, the occupiers fired at the car of volunteers in Sievierodonetsk in the Luhansk region, a 17-year-old teenager was wounded.
